New Kids on The Block singer Donnie Wahlberg, has broken the Guinness World Records title for the Most self-portrait photographs (selfies) taken in three minutes.
The 80s boyband star achieved the title while on board the group's New Kids on The Block Cruise in Cozumel, Mexico, with Donnie able to take 122 selfies with cruise guests.
The attempt beat the former record of 119 snaps, achieved by digital enterprise company Aruba, in Singapore earlier this year.
This attempt was not Donnie’s first shot at the title, with the singer having tried unsuccessfully to break the record on board last year’s NKOTB cruise.
Determined not to be beat, and with the help of many excited NKOTB fans, Donnie proved he had the right stuff for a world record this time around.
Guinness World Records Adjudicator Sarah Casson was on-board to confirm his achievement and present him with his official certificate.
After his record-breaking feat Donnie paid tribute to the NKOTB fanbase.
“How does one break the Guinness World Records title for selfies? By doing it with the best fans on earth during our favorite event each year, the New Kids on the Block Cruise!”, the frontman said.
The sold out cruise, which departed from the Port of New Orleans and stopped in Cozumel, is in its eighth year and was filled with over 3,000 devoted fans of the group.
Passengers were at sea for four days and were able to enjoy concerts from their favorite teen idols, as well as themed parties and activities with the band members.
Donnie isn't the first celebrity to hold the record, with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson previously holding the title for a successful attempt on the red carpet at the London premiere of his movie San Andreas back in May 2015.
