Guinness World Records recently confirmed that brothers Suraj Kumar Meher and Rajesh Kumar Meher (India) have built the Largest television remote control ever, as verified in Sambalpur, India.

Measuring a whopping 4.5 m (14 ft 9.1 in) long, the device is actually fully-functioning – thanks to the knowledge of Rajesh who has a diploma in electronics engineering – and was demonstrated to work on a normal-sized television.

The pair of shopkeepers worked tirelessly for 68 days to complete the project, staying up late after work to get it finished.

The determined duo even sold their motorcycle so that they could raise the funds needed for the materials.

The remote is exactly 23.68 times bigger than the original it was based on, and even includes 37 giant rubber buttons.

According to Suraj, the device takes three people to move and it is strong enough to hold the weight of a 5 year old child.
