Rising star of country music Thomas Rhett (USA) performed at a record-breaking event this week called “Tangled up in Texas”, at the AT&T stadium.

With the release of new album “Tangled Up” coming soon, the star (together with Big Machine Label Group (USA)) wanted to celebrate by inviting his fans to literally get tangled up and on the Largest Twister board ever created.

Staff spent over five hours putting the 27,159.616 sq ft mega-board together using 1,200 regular-sized Twister mats.

The finished piece measured 171 ft 3 in by 158 ft 5.5 in and covered half the stadium field.

Kelly Rich, senior vice president of sales, marketing and interactive for BMLG said: “I think it’s crazier than we imagined...It’s exciting. We got here really early this morning to set this up. They also attempted to break the record for the most participants in a game of Twister, but although thousands took part in the game they fell slightly short of the 4,160 players they had to beat.

Thomas Rhett has hit the country music charts like a storm (or a Twister), with his latest single 'Die a Happy Man' reaching number one on the iTunes Country Charts before it even reached radio – and now the singer has a Guinness World Records title too.
