Each week here on Guinnessworldrecords.com, we’ll be dipping into our extensive video library to bring you a classic piece of record-breaking action.

This week it's festival season and with the UK's enormous Glastonbury Festival of the Performing Arts coming up this weekend in Somerset UK, with an average attendance of 175,000 music fans, we're expecting a whole lot of crowd surfing.

The fastest crowd surf over a 50 metre distance is 2 minutes 5.830 seconds, achieved by the pupils of the Janusz-Korczak-Gesamtschule in Neuss in Germany, who lifted their teacher across the length of their school ground in Neuss, Germany, on 11 June 2013.

The attempt was filmed for Wir holen den Rekord nach Deutschland, aired on Germany's RTL2 back in 2013.
