Steven J. Backman’s career is one of incommensurable achievements in tiny measures.

 

The San Francisco-based toothpick artist holds the Guinness World Records title for world’s smallest toothpick sculpture, a seemingly incredible 19.86-mm-tall (0.782-in) replica of the Empire State Building made from a single toothpick.

 

 

Steven recently visited Guinness World Records London HQ and agreed to an interview in which some of his toothpick secrets are revealed.
