Patrick Sinner and his team of domino artists Sinners Domino Entertainment (Germany) have broken the record for the Most books toppled in a domino fashion at the Frankfurt Book Fair after knocking down 10,200 copies of Guinness World Records 2016, in collaboration with Hoffmann und Campe Verlag which distributes the book at the annual event.

The crew significantly bettered the previous record of 9,821 books that was achieved by Longest Book Domino Chain Gifu World Record Challenge 2015 (Japan) last year.

The talented Sinners team has broken eight titles in the past – though this time they substituted their traditional dominoes for books instead.

Following the Guinness World Records guidelines, after the first book was pushed down no other book in the assemblage was touched so that each piece had to fall down as a result of the initial contact.

In August 2014, the group knocked down two records at the Wilhelm-Lückert-Gymnasium in Büdingen, Germany: The Most dominoes toppled in a circle bomb (54,321)...

...and the Most dominoes stacked on one single piece (1,055). The structure measured 36.7 cm (14.45 in) in height, 19.2 cm (7.56 in) in width, and 28.7 cm (11.3 in) in depth. It remained free-standing for 1 hr 26 min 12 sec.
