Each week here on guinnessworldrecords.com, we’ll be dipping into our extensive video library to bring you a classic piece of record-breaking action.

With National Dessert Day recognised annually on 14 October in the US, this week’s Classics video celebrates one of the world's favourite sweet treats: biscuits.

For this clip we're heading back to March 2010 and the set of the Italian TV series Lo Show dei Record to watch Azim Malik (UK) crush 21 digestives and earn the Guinness World Records title for the Most biscuits broken with the shoulder blades in one minute.

Another impressive biscuit achievement was the Largest cream-filled biscuit, which weighed 28.24 kg (62 lb 4 oz), measured 101 cm (39 in) in length and 69.5 cm (27 in) in width, and was achieved by Hoppe Food Group & Midden Brabant College (Netherlands), at the Midden Brabant College, in Tilburg, Netherlands, in November 2011.

But this supersized snack really takes the biscuit, measuring 754 m² (8,120 ft²) and made by the Immaculate Baking Company (USA) in Flat Rock, North Carolina, USA in May 2003. The chocolate chip cookie weighed 18 tonnes (40,000 lb) and had a diameter of 30.7 m (101 ft).
