Hot on the heels of Han Yue’s stunning tightest car parallel parking record earlier this month comes another spectacular motoring stunt to make the history books.

In the video below, a semi-truck flies through the air over an F1 racing car, landing safely to set a new Guinness World Records title for the longest ramp jump by a truck and trailer after achieving a distance of 83 feet, 7 inches.

Organised by cloud computing firm EMC who are technology partners for Lotus F1 team, the stunt took place earlier this month to promote their "redefining motorsports" campaign.

Behind the wheel of the semi-truck was Mike Ryan, an experienced HGV stunt rider, while the F1 Racer was bravely piloted by Martin Ivanov.

Somewhat unsurprisingly, both men have worked as stunt drivers in not only the Fast and the Furious series, but also the James Bond and Bourne films.
