Oprah Winfrey is set to make a $12,000,000 (£7.7M) donation to a new museum of African American History in Washington D.C. - her largest yet to the cause.

Winfrey previously donated $1,000,000 to the museum, which is set to open in 2015, and will contain a theatre named after the media personality.

The museum will tell the stories of African American history, from slavery through the civil rights movement to the present day.

The donation is just one of many philanthropic activities undertaken by Winfrey, who is a self-made billionaire, and holds several Guinness World Records titles including Largest TV contract, Most powerful person in television, and Highest annual earnings for a television personality (female).

The Duchess of Cambridge will shortly christen a new Princess Cruises ship, The Royal Princess, at a ceremony in Southampton ( live stream).

The ceremony, which will include the traditional smashing of a bottle over the hull, will be the Duchess' last public engagement before giving birth to a baby, due in July.

While the new liner will feature a glass-bottomed walkway and accommodate some 3,600 guests, it will not be the Largest passenger liner - that title belongs to Royal Caribbean's MS Allure of the Seas, at 362 m (1,187 ft) long, 66 m (215 ft) wide and weighing 225,282 gross tonnage.

When the Duchess married Prince William in April 2011, the event had the Most live streams for a single event - with 72 million live views from 188 countries on the official royal YouTube channel alone!

Finally, have you ever been put off by people wearing low-hanging trousers or shorts?

One beachfront town in the US state of New Jersey certainly has.

The mayor of Wildwood, NJ, Ernest Troiano, is set to introduce a ban on trousers, jeans, and shorts which hang lower than 3 inches (7.5cm) below the hips.

This is in addition to a ban on swimwear on the town's boardwalk, and a requirement that people wear shirts and shoes at all times. Offenders could be fined up to $100 (£64) for a first breach of the dress code.

Might we suggest the mayor bring the Largest leather belt to Wildwood? The 19.13 m (62 ft 9 in) long, 68 cm (26.75 in) wide belt would surely help keep many pairs of trousers up!
