It has been brought to our attention that there is a translation error within the French language edition of the Guinness World Records 2013 book for the first electric helicopter.

This record, listed as the first authenticated manned flight of a helicopter powered by an electric motor, achieved by Pascal Chretien at Venelles, France on 4 August 2011, has been incorrectly translated with 'manned' appearing as 'sans pilote' which wrongly infers that the helicopter was not piloted.

While the text is correct within English language editions of the book, we would like to apologise for this error and are working with our publishers in France to ensure that translation errors such as this do not occur in the future.
