The Brief

Philadelphia cream cheese, wanted to ignite brand love and make history at the Lowville Cream Cheese Festival, celebrating the brand and the entire community in a big way.

As the home of their largest plant, Lowville, NY was the perfect place for Philadelphia cream cheese to attempt to reclaim a world record they once held but had since lost.

The Solution

The brand decided to attempt the Guinness World Records title for largest cheesecake, a record they held in 2013. This time they wanted to shatter the current record by more than 5,000 lbs. making it real hard for anyone else to beat.
The result was an impressive cheesecake weighting 6,807.5 kg (15,008 lb).
Philadelphia cream cheese used an 11 ft. 6 in diameter pan and more than 13K pounds of Philadelphia’s Ready to Eat Cheesecake to create the larger-than-life desert. The cheesecake was distributed immediately after the record was announced by a GWR Adjudicator on-site for festival-goers to enjoy.

As the leader in cream cheese, we are always looking for ways to share our iconic brand and remind people of our delicious and creamy taste.
With an event like the Lowville Cream Cheese Festival in our factory’s hometown we wanted to show up in a big way by attempting to reclaim our Guinness World Records title for Largest Cheesecake.
The team worked tirelessly creating a larger-than-life recipe which resulted in a 15,008 lb. cheesecake on judgement day. We are so excited to have our title back, hopefully for years to come.
