The Brief

Yusuf A. Alghanim & Sons Automotive wanted to celebrate their 70th anniversary of its long-standing partnership with General Motors, which also coincided with the 100th anniversary launch of Chevrolet trucks. This event would symbolise reinforcing this partnership and establishing the company’s distinction and pioneering position.

The Solution

The GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ team suggested the record title for the Largest banner flown by a vehicle, a campaign that would establish a local celebration for the company. The campaign would also demonstrate the strength and strong performance of the Silverado 3500HD which pulled a 433 square metre flag for more than 100 metres without touching the ground.

To support this campaign further, Guinness World Records offered “sponsored content” services whereby an article about the record attempt was featured on the English and Arabic websites, and social media platforms for Guinness World Records to provide regional and global coverage for their achievement.

We are proud of the Guinness World Records feat that Chevrolet Alghanim achieved at this event. Watching the Kuwaiti flag of this size fluttering has made this achievement even more special as it is added to the list of the company’s records of achievement.
