The Brief

Bashas’ Family of Stores (USA) is a family-owned and operated grocer founded in 1932. With more than 100 stores across Arizona, Bashas’ is well known for maintaining strong ties with their local communities.

To celebrate their 90th anniversary the company wanted to create a unique event that allowed them to share this big milestone with their most important stakeholder, their community.

The Solution

Bashas’ decided to aim high. With all hands on deck, and featuring one of their most beloved products, they broke the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for the largest doughnut mosaic (logo).

The graphic selected is a celebratory logo that highlights the Arizona colors and was created especially for the brand’s anniversary.

14,400 freshly made doughnuts were used for the final mosaic, measuring at 83.91m² (903.19ft²).

Working with Guinness World Records for our official record-breaking attempt was well worth the investment. We were supported throughout each stage of the process with a continued focus on our individual goals and utilizing the official brands of GWR helped to reinforce our efforts and create excitement.
