The Brief
Although ASML prides itself in being ‘the most important tech company you’ve never heard of’, they wanted to make a big statement. By joining forces with Guinness World Records, ASML wanted to recruit new talent to their business who were interested in high-end tech and attended RWTH University.
The Solution
The Smallest advertisement was launched at a career event at the RWTH University, Aachen. By creating a chip invisible to the naked eye, students were immersed into a high-tech story. ASML were able to answer any enquiries and all attendees were encouraged to take photos with the hashtag #smallest_ad. This campaign increased brand awareness by 40%. Now, they have the attention of graduates and professionals to help ASML push their technology further.

With the smallest advertisement, we invite students into our world of nanolithography. We bring together mechatronics, optics and software in an advanced system the size of a city bus, which all of the world’s major chipmakers use to control their chip manufacturing process down to the nanometer.
