The Solution

With everyone stuck at home, the “Strip and Dip” transformed into a “Virtual Dip”. Over 1,300 people took part in the attempt for Most photos of people in water uploaded to Facebook in one hour. People from all over the world were able to participate in this event. This opened it up to everyone, no matter if they could afford to travel or not.

Around €105,000 was raised for Aoibheann’s Pink Tie. The record title was successfully achieved, and the Official Adjudicator announced the result on their Facebook event page on the day of the attempt.

Guinness World Records made a huge impact on our event. From first conversation with the account manager to dealing with our Official Adjudicator for the count -it was a great experience. Putting a world record behind your event makes the event totally different. This is our second world record and to date we have raised over €885,000 for childhood cancer and we have purchased a respite house in Dublin for the charity.
