50,000 pieces of jewellery worth $353 million breaks world record

Salem Al Shuaibi Jewellery (UAE) recently put on a record-breaking jewellery display in the United Arab Emirates.

They achieved the largest display of jewellery, which consisted of 50,000 items which were laid out in the Sharjah Expo Centre, Sharjah, UAE.

The display collection was worth a whopping 1.3 billion Dhs (£260 million; $353 million) and took place in the 48th Middle East Watch and Jewellery Exhibition.

Salem Al Shuaibi Jewellery is a company established in Abu Dhabi, the capital of UAE back in 1974.

The company manufactures and trades a wide range of jewellery as well as diamonds and luxury watches.

The event saw many visitors from different backgrounds and nationalities.
