At a recent event in Sofia, Bulgaria, car dealership Moto-Pfohe BG organised the Largest parade of Ford cars in a bid to excite and engage the country’s Ford owners.

Thousands of people turned up to the event and an incredible 1,527 cars successfully took part in the parade.

The vehicles – which included a number of rare European and American Ford cars – created a 20 km line down the highway, with each car required to travel a minimum of 3.5 km in order to secure the Guinness World Records title.

The Ford procession took two hours from start to finish.

Guinness World Records judge Lena Kuhlmann was invited along to count and verify the huge record.

Once the number was confirmed, Lena presented the delighted organisers with an official certificate.

Dimo Nikolov, Managing Director of Moto-Pfohe BG said: “Our great success demonstrates the power of Ford community in Bulgaria in an ‘Officially Amazing’ and recognizable way by setting a Guinness World Record for largest parade of Ford cars.”

Prior to this event the record stood at 829 cars, in a parade organised by Mt Hood Mustang and Fords Club (USA) at Woodburn Dragstrip, Woodburn, Oregon, USA, on 12 April 2014.
