Hero The Super Collie certainly lives up to his grand name.

Finishing fifth overall on season 12 of America’s Got Talent, the energetic canine has now officially broken the Guinness World Records title for the Most tricks performed by a dog in one minute, nearly doubling the previous best.

The five-year-old rescue dog and his Canadian owner Sara Carson make quite the team, having practiced together ever since Hero was 4 months old.

He can perform hundreds of moves, and has travelled around the world showing off his skills.

Now he has condensed these skills into just 60 seconds, showing he can obediently do 49 tricks within that time - that’s nearly one per second!

Prior to starring on America’s Got Talent (where their performances included Hero 'performing CPR' on Sara), the duo appeared on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Ellen Show, as well as a few Petco commercials.

His library of tricks includes walking on his front legs, dancing, spinning, and even landing on Sara’s back.

The pair have been best friends since the very beginning, even when Sara’s family and friends didn’t support her career choice as a dog trainer.

She adopted him at a time when she really needed hope and someone to save her, which is how Hero got his name.

Now after several television opportunities, a growing fanbase and a Guinness World Records title, the two have much to be proud of.

Hero currently bests former title holder Smurf’s record of 32 tricks, a feat which landed him in Guinness World Records: Amazing Animals alongside other clever pets.
