Taking place in Corinthians Arena, Sao Paulo, Brazil, 21-year-old Janine helped her country win the match 2-0.
The same game saw another record fall for Canada as Shelina Zadorsky received the Fastest red card in an Olympics women’s football (soccer) match as a result of her foul against Australia's Michelle Heyman in the 18th minute.
Brazilian soccer star Cristiane earned a record for the Most goals scored in Olympics women’s football (soccer) by netting her 13th goal in her country’s game against China, helping the Olympics hosts win the match 3-0.

Cristiane shares her impressive record with Danish player Sophus Nielsen who scored 13 goals between 1908 and 1912.
