Jeff Peeters from Belgium spent six months building a monster bike which, weighing 860 kg (1895 lb 15.6 oz), has recently been confirmed by Guinness World Records as the Heaviest rideable bicycle in the world.

Jeff demonstrated that he could move the enormous two-wheeled vehicle solely using human pedal power down a street in Mechelen, Belgium – much to the amazement of the people passing by.

In order to achieve the record he was required to cover a minimum distance of 100 m (328 ft) on the bicycle.

The 2.26 m high, 5.04 long pushbike was constructed with re-used materials by Jeff, who has an extensive history in creating extraordinary contraptions.
