Real estate company gets into the spirit of Halloween by setting longest line of pumpkins world record

 

 

In honor of its annual Great Pumpkin Giveaway, real-estate experts The Kris Lindahl Team, took on the Guinness World Records title for Longest line of pumpkins. 

 

 

The attempt took place last week at the National Sports Center in Blaine, and drew a huge crowd of 15,000 people to witness the Halloween-themed record being accomplished. 

 

Arranged in a spacious green field, the record-breaking 8,672 pumpkins zig-zagged in straight lines for guests to admire, measuring a total length of 1,464 m (4,805 ft).

 

If stood vertically the line of pumpkins would have been taller than Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in the British Isles, located in Scotland, which stand at 1,345 metres (4,411 ft) above sea level.

 

 

The record attempt was initially planned as an effort for the real-estate company to give back to its local community, while also hoping to make this celebration their biggest year yet. 

 

After official adjudicator Michael Emperic declared that the team had achieved the record, participants got to take home a free pumpkin just in time for Halloween.

 

 

Kris Lindahl said of the record, “Our whole team thinks of this as a fun way to give back to the community, and we can’t wait to make history this weekend by creating the longest pumpkin line in the world, right here in Blaine.”
