Amritsar, India, recently played host to a truly mesmerising record attempt which saw the Pankaj and Preeti Dance Academy (India) lead a whopping 8,726 youngsters to the title for the Largest Bollywood dance ever.
Clad in matching yellow uniforms, the participants, who were all aged between 7 and 18, performed the hypnotising routine for five minutes following an earlier choreography session ahead of the attempt.
Impressively, the attempt almost doubled the previous record of 4,428 people that had been previously set by Zee Entertainment Enterprise Ltd - Dance India Dance show (India) at the Somaiyya College, Mumbai, India in 2012.

The mass participation challenge took place as part of an anti-drug campaign.
Amritsar Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ravi Bhagat told
Hindustan Times: “Students from Amritsar have made it to The Guinness Book of World Records, which is a big achievement for the city".
"The administration wanted it to be a social awareness drive against drug abuse as the menace has ruined thousands of lives in Punjab. So, it was decided that this attempt of local choreographers should not only have a Bollywood twist but rather spread awareness against a social evil."
