Each week here on guinnessworldrecords.com, we’ll be dipping into our extensive video library to bring you a classic piece of record-breaking action.

This week, we return to the moment that Sweet Pea – an Australian Shepherd and Border collie cross – amazed us by travelling 100 m with a can skilfully balanced on top of her head.

Not only this, but she crossed the finish line in just 2 minutes 55 seconds, securing the talented pooch a Guinness World Records title for the Fastest 100 m with a can balanced on the head by a dog.

The successful record attempt took place back in 2008, at the college of Lake County, Grayslake, Illinois, USA, with Sweet Pea’s owner, Alex Rothaker beckoning his beloved pet to the finish line.

Apparently there is no end to Sweet Pea’s balancing skills, as she also has the record for the Most steps walked down by a dog facing forwards while balancing a glass of water, which she achieved with 10 perfectly placed steps. She can walk up 10 steps with a glass of water on her head too.
