Each week here on guinnessworldrecords.com, we’ll be dipping into our extensive video library to bring you a classic piece of record-breaking action.

Terry Morris is a Global Training Manager for New Zealand Natural Ice-Cream – with a talent for piling up scoops of this summer treat.

Back in 2010, he appeared on the set of Zheng Da Zong Yi – Guinness World Records Special in Beijing, China – and skilfully scooped a world record title for the Most ice-cream scoops balanced on a cone.

To achieve the record, Terry’s cone could not have a diameter over 9.5 cm (3.74 in), and all the slippery, melting ice-cream had to remain on the cone for a whole 10 seconds.

In America, July is National Ice-Cream Month and National Ice-Cream Day is this Sunday, so this video takes a look back at Terry’s amazing ice-cream feat.

In honour of the occasion, why not see how many ice-cream scoops you can balance on a cone…

Currently, the title is held by multiple-record-holder Ashrita Furman (below). In October 2013 he expertly heaped a whopping 100 scoops on a single cone, at the kitchen of the Sri Chinmoy Center in Jamaica.
