François “Fed981” Federspiel (France) has achieved four world record titles for doing speed runs on the action-adventure open world videogame series Assassin’s Creed.

François first recorded the Fastest completion of Assassin’s Creed II in a rapid 5 hr 42 min 16 sec.

He went on to set records for the Fastest completion of Assassin’s Creed: Revelations (2 hr 48 min 41 sec) and the Fastest completion of Assassin’s creed: Brotherhood (2 hr 23 min 41 sec).

But most recently he has accomplished the Fastest 100% completion of Assassin’s Creed II, in a staggering time of 7 hr 9 min 51 sec.

The Frenchman says that he enjoys doing speed runs because he likes to be efficient and is always looking for the quickest ways to complete tasks in his everyday life.

It has taken the extremely persistent François hundreds of attempts to perfect his runs, but he says proudly, “Having a Guinness World Records title … means my work has been recognised.”

In the video, Guinness World Records takes the speed runner for a photoshoot in Strasbourg, France – a location which shows him how the game’s historical setting might feel in real life.
