Step inside Kevin Silva’s amazing Bat-cave - a treasure trove of memorabilia dedicated to comic book hero Batman.

Over the past 45 years the American collector has amassed an extensive 2,501 items of Batman paraphernalia.

He started collecting at the age of five when he was given a Batman lunchbox and explains that since then his passion for Batman has endured, joking that he sees the Dark Knight's iconic logo in his sleep.

Kevin’s ever-growing collection has been officially recognised by Guinness World Records as the Largest collection of Batman memorabilia - having more than doubled Zdravko Genov’s (Bulgaria) previous record of 1,160 items - and he still adds new pieces to his collection daily.

His favourite item – and probably his most expensive piece – is an outfit modelled on that worn by his preferred Batman Adam West in the 1960s TV series.

The Batman enthusiast is really proud of his Guinness World Records title and says: "It was a very important thing to get because it substantiates my collection ... now my collection has a name".
