Our Culture

We feel we have created a unique working environment to be proud of. The multi-faceted nature of our business means that the skills of our staff are wide-ranging too. Research specialists, events experts, marketers and content producers and many more – they’re all part of the GWR family.

We have Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIB) policies in place to ensure that GWR is a truly inclusive environment.

Moreover, GWR is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. Everyone is accepted for who they are, regardless of age, disability, gender identity, marital status, race, faith or belief, sexual orientation, or socioeconomic background. We are proud to have offices that accommodate differing abilities.

Job Perks

We know that Guinness World Records is only as strong and as passionate as its people, so we strive to foster welcoming and enjoyable environments.

Covid-19 has demonstrated that we can be productive in a hybrid environment, and we have embraced agile working in all our offices. We have introduced core hours of 10 am – 4pm, giving you flexibility in your work life balance. We now view the office as a place to go to with a purpose; to socialise with colleagues, attend an event, or collaborate with our teams. Depending on the role, it is also possible to work fully remotely with us.

Each GWR office has its own tailored set of benefits.

Seasonal Hours

In all our offices we offer seasonal Friday hours (or Thursday for our colleagues in UAE), with either a 1pm finish in the summer or a 4pm finish in the winter.

Meet Record Holders

Each office regularly arranges virtual and in-person opportunities for us to connect with each other and to hear inspiring stories direct from our amazing record holders.

Awards and Recognition

Annual awards take place to celebrate our staff and recognise those who demonstrate our values of Integrity, Passion, Respect, Inclusiveness and Fun in everything that they do.

Volunteer Days

Each office has a Community Committee which works with local causes and initiatives chosen by the employees, and each year everybody has two volunteer days to spend working with these organisations.

Staff Surveys

Candid and honest feedback is important. To facilitate this, we have quarterly staff surveys with an independent survey provider.

Professional Development & Studying Opportunities

We encourage skills and management growth through a rich mix of expert training, either in-person or online, including formal qualifications where applicable.

We also recognise that most learning takes place on the job and we encourage managers to mentor their teams and individuals. To ensure that conversations are kept alive we have quarterly, formal, career discussions to measure progress throughout the year.

Our ongoing partnership with LinkedIn Learning supports managers and encourages colleagues to learn through bitesize videos, independently and flexibly at their own speed.
