The fastest motorcycle wheelie over one kilometre (0.621 miles) is 217.850 mph (350.595 km/h) by Ted Brady (Ireland) during the Motorcycle Wheelie World Championship held on the track at Elvington airfield in North Yorkshire, UK, on 19 August 2017. The run was adjudicated and confirmed by Straightliners/UK Timing Association.


Brady recorded the fastest exit speed of the competition after completing the full kilometre on the back wheel of a c. 540-bhp turbo-charged Suzuki Hayabusa. His second of three runs bettered the speed of Dutch rider Egbert van Popta, who broke the record at the same event the year before when he clocked 213.3 mph (343.2 km/h).
