The most subscribers on YouTube is 96,321,836 and was achieved by Bollywood and Indi-pop music and film company T-Series (India), as verified on 29 April 2019.
The competition between T-Series and former record holder PewDiePie (aka Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg), a gamer and comedian from Sweden, has been extremely close since October 2018. PewDiePie, who has held the record of most-subscribed YouTube channel since 2013, first lost the crown to T-Series on 9 March 2019, albeit only briefly, before reclaiming it after five minutes. The record has been passing back and forth between the two channels since, though T-Series had enjoyed a two-week lead in the second-half of April, indicating it may be edging away.
