The most musicians to play the same piano in relay is 169 and was achieved by International Association of Collaborative Musicians (China) at ELEMENTS in Hong Kong SAR, China on 5 May, 2025.

In commemoration of the centennial of his passing, the International Association of Collaborative Musicians and French May Arts Festival co-presents a piano marathon performance of Erik Satie’s Vexations, a mysterious one-page piano work that repeats 840 times in succession as the composer intended. This mesmerizing musical sanctuary will showcase both amateur and professional pianists, each offering their own interpretations and styles. Performers and audiences will engage in artistic dialogue, fostering community and exploration across diverse perspectives. A total number of 169 pianists are involved in this record-breaking attempt for the record title of Guinness World Records of "Most Musicians to Play the Same Piano in Relay".
