James Dick, a UK BASI qualified ski instructor, set a new world record by skiing in 30 countries in just 27 days, starting in Andorra on January 2 and concluding in Scotland on January 28, 2024.
Despite challenges like a volcanic eruption in Iceland, limited snow, and closed resorts, James traveled nearly 30,000 kilometers by van, ferry, and plane, taking 22 flights to achieve this feat. Along the way, he raised funds and awareness for two charities.
The countries covered in his record-breaking journey include: Andorra, Spain, Italy, France, Switzerland, Germany, Liechtenstein, Austria, Slovenia, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Finland, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Serbia (Kosovo), Bulgaria, Greece, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Croatia, Turkey, Bosnia and Scotland (UK).
