For many years, the record for club-juggling remained at seven, with a growing number of jugglers accomplishing the feat and thus tying the record. This all changed on August 30, 2006, when Anthony Gatto (USA) juggled eight clubs, making sixteen catches. Anthony also holds the record for juggling seven flaming torches (1989), and flashing eight torches, successfully making eight catches onstage in Branson, Missouri in 1999. Gatto, who has held many juggling records over the past thirty years, also holds the duration record for seven clubs, juggling them continuously for 4 min 23 sec in 2005.
