Robert Torline (USA) travelled from Brownsville, Texas (on the Mexican border) to Maida, North Dakota (on the Canadian border), covering a distance of 3,410 km (2,119 miles) on his wind-powered street sailor from 29 April to 16 June 2001. A street sailor is essentially a large skateboard with pneumatic wheels, powered by a windsurfer sail. During his journey Robert broke one board, had two tyre blowouts, and fell five times.
