The longest single-handed distance sailed in a dinghy (male) is 2144.86 km and was achieved by Magne Klann (Norway), sailing from Nordkapp to Lindesnes, from 25 April - 12 June 2018.


Magne started his trip in Skarsvåg, the closest harbour to Nordkapp, where the landscape was still covered in snow and the water temperature 4ºC. He sailed southwards along the Norwegian shore all the way down to Lindesnes, only going ashore for overnight stops.
