The longest human chain underwater consists of 308 divers, achieved by Cesena Blu (Italy), in Cesenatico, Forli-Cesena, Italy, on 14 May 2017.
Cesena blu diving school had been dreaming of breaking a record for 11 years. On the 14th of May the attempt took place, gathering 308 divers, making a 270 metres (885.83 ft) chain underwater. This attempt included participants of different ages and participants with disabilities, all of them with a common passion, scuba diving.
The participants remained underwater for a total of 26 minutes.
