The largest umbrella dance consists of 1,996 participants, achieved at an event organised by District Administration Surendranagar and led by Mr. Udit Agrawal, I.A.S (both India), in Tarnetar, India, on 06 September 2016.
The attempt took place as part of the Tarnetar Lok Mela (People's Fair), organised by Tarnetar Village. All umbrellas were made by the village's citizens.
