The largest tea cosy knitted is 19.3 m (63 ft 4 in), and was achieved by Di MacDonald, Maya Rowse, Julian Rowse, Lily Cole and Isla (all Australia), in Fish Creek, Australia, on 14 May 2022.
The event was held at the Fish Creek Tea Cosy Festival which runs every 2 years, attracting people from all over Australia.
The challenge begun in November 2017 with the help of the children that Di taught to knit, as well as the team from Knit-A-Row-And-Go, a.k.a. KARAG who are a community group who knit rugs for local people in need.
