The largest drum crescendo consists of 556 people, and was achieved by the Government of St. Petersburg, "Alternativa" St.Petersburg Public Organization, and "Drum Wave" international festival - competition (all Russia), in St Petersburg, Russian Federation, on 26 May 2019.
The attempt was part of St Petersburg celebrating its 316th birthday. The participants were from 80 bands and drum groups who lined up in a single file playing one after another to create the drum crescendo. The event was sponsored by The Government of St Petersburg, "Alternativa" St Petersburg Public Organization and "Drum Wave" International festival - competition.
