The record for the greatest distance by kart in 24 hrs outdoors is 2,056.7 km (1,277.97 miles) achieved by the team Equipe Vitesse at Teesside Karting´s track at Redcar & Cleveland Offroad Centre, Middlesbrough, UK, on 20- 21 September 2007. The cart used was a Tony Kart Racer EVS fitted with a 125cc Honda CR125 engine. The engine was bored out to 134cc.
