Dr. Thilo Hagendorff is a competitive cyclist who enjoys participating in high-endurance events. It was a community affair, gaining support from the local citizens and cyclists alike. The city allowed this particular road to be closed for the attempt, and along with his girlfriend and parents, many cycling enthusiasts/friends gave lots of cheers during his 12 hour ride (4:04 am - 3:58 pm). The course itself was just under 1 km long, with an ascension measurement of 118.59 metres. Thilo was able to cycle the course exactly 100 times on his Canyon Ultimate CF SL road bike.
