Maria started her record-breaking journey by ascending Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. She then climbed Mount Vinson (Antarctica), Mount Aconcagua (Argentina), Mount Carstensz, also known as Puncak Jaya (Indonesia), Mount Elbrus (Russia), Mount Everest (Nepal/Tibet), and Mount Denali, also known as Mount McKinley (USA) before completing her attempt atop Mount Kosciuszko (Australia).
