The fastest average time to solve a rotating puzzle tetrahedron is 1.43 seconds, achieved by Lingkun Jiang (China) at the Hangzhou Spring 2024 event in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, on 2 March 2024. Jiang equalled his own record at the Xuzhou Open 2024 event in Xuzhou, Jiangsu, China, on 30 March 2024.


As per World Cube Association rules, Jiang resolved the puzzle five times on 2 March 2024, with the fastest and slowest times omitted and a mean average calculated from the remaining three. His solve times were: 1.67, 1.34, (1.72), 1.29 and (1.29).

Jiang surpassed the previous mark of 1.45 seconds, set by Ezra Shere (USA) at the Washtenaw Fast 'n Late Fall 2023 event in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA, on 23 September 2023.
