The fastest 10 m balancing cue on chin is 2.02 seconds, achieved by Mark Loosemore (UK), in Oundle, Northamptonshire, UK, on 29 March 2021.

Mark attempted this record to inspire his children. He hopes to show them that working hard to achieve a goal is always possible and that they can be the best at anything they chose if they work hard at it. The successful attempt came as a result of three months of training - both indoors and outdoors due to changing Covid-19 regulations. Having timed his 10 m sprint time, Mark was confident he would be able to beat the previous record of 2.51 seconds once he mastered the balancing of the cue.

On becoming a Guinness World Records title holder, Mark said "it’s been a lifelong ambition to be the best in the world at something and my certificate would be displayed pride of place alongside my other lifetime achievements". Having got the taste for record-breaking, he is now looking into other similar records he can challenge for.
