According to the latest data published on 5 April 2023 from Airports Council International, the busiest airport for cargo is Hong Kong International Airport, China, which handled 4,199,196 tonnes (4,628,821 US tons) of cargo in 2022. This put it ahead of Memphis International Airport in Tennessee, USA (4,042,679 tonnes) and Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport in Alaska, USA (3,461,603 tonnes).
Hong Kong International Airport also topped the list in terms of international freight in 2022 according to the ACI report, loading and unloading a total of 4,169,397 tonnes of freight (99% of its total cargo).
