The largest steel-string/flat top acoustic guitar measures 4.22 m (13.85 ft) in length, 1.60 m (5.2 ft) in width and 0.33 m (1.08 ft) in depth, and was achieved by Long Yunzhi (China), at Mile Jijia Creative Studio, in Mile, Yunnan, China, as measured on 8 September 2018.
The original acoustic guitar scaled up for the attempt was a Yamaha MG700MS, which measures 1.05 m in length, 0.41 m in width and 0.1 m in depth. The guitar weighed 130 kg (286.6 lb) and requires two people to play the instrument properly.
