On the record attempt day, 26 international bicycle riders competed in two races. The person with the best time of the two races was the winner. Later the riders did some acrobatic performances on the ramps installed as obstacles along the track.

The winner of the race was the Chilean Pedro Ferreira with a time of 3 minutes 49 seconds.
