The longest nagashi somen measured 3,216.7 m (10,553.46 ft) and was constructed by the The Ide Town Society of Commerce and Industry in Kyoto Prefecture, in Ide Town, Japan, on 20 March 2011.

It took 100 people and 800 bamboo 'gutters' to achieve the new record length. The measuring took 42 minutes to complete.
