Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson famed for not only his incredible strength but also his role as 'The Mountain' in Game of Thrones, completed a staggering 501 kg deadlift, in an attempt sanctioned by the Worlds Ultimate Strongman. Hafþór aka 'Thor' beat Eddie Hall's 2016 500 kg deadlift by 1 kg, however Eddie's lift remains the heaviest ever in strongman competition.
