Team "CZECH IT", comprising Petr Šlajs, Zuzka Procazkova, Pavlina Prochazkova, Zdenek Slama, Jakub Valnicek (all Czech Republic) and Rory Fitzgerald (UK), swam across the North Channel from Northern Ireland to Scotland and back to Northern Ireland, UK, in 22 hours 49 minutes 45 seconds on 23 June 2018, as verified by the Irish Long Distance Swimming Association (ILDSA). They were piloted by Charles Stewart and Pádraig Mallon of Infinity Channel Swimming LTD aboard the vessel Hirta.


As per ILDSA rules, the route must follow the Admiralty Chart 2198, Southern Part which measures 18.6 nautical miles (35 kilometres; 21.5 miles).

A team of four called "Sportfanatic", comprising Richard Nyáry, Dezider Pék, Zoltán Makai and Peter Plavec (all Slovakia), completed a two-way relay from Scotland to Northern Ireland and back on 16-17 July 2021 in a time of 24 hours 55 minutes 40 seconds.
