With the help of 11 balloon artists, Caroline Ainslie (UK) of Bubbly Maths created a 3D fractal (a never-ending pattern) from 160Q modelling balloons at the GWR London offices on 24 February 2015. The finished sculpture – known as a Sierpinski pyramid – stood 219.1 cm (7 ft 2 in) tall and averaged 264.6 cm (8 ft 8.1 in) along its outer edge.
